Late April

It's late April, the days are growing lighter, the long cold winter is departing and there is a promise of summer. The simple Spring flowers are in bloom and bird song fills the air.

Here I am, weeding, snipping and digging.... there is little time for stitching.

The allotment has been transformed again and as I wait for the produce I have sown from seed to start growing, the weeds begin to flourish. I start at one end, and by the time I get to the other it's time to start again.

As I dig, the blackbird trills a sweet song and a little robin comes down to give moral support.

There is nothing so therapeutic as The Joy of Gardening - except of course The Pleasure of Stitching!
